Anthropologist or Survivalist?

I had interesting conversation with my sister Maja today. After telling her I want to learn how the knotted (Persian) carpets are made (our father used to make wool carpets) she said I am really an anthropologist. I was thinking I was more of survivalist..

My definitions:

anthropologist = smoking weed with natives
survivalist = making your own spear
anthropologist = making an atlatl (spear thrower)
survivalist = collecting right weeds

go figure, there is an overlap!

My favorite quotations..

“A man should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”  by Robert A. Heinlein
