The good news for Java developers is that Android Operating System may show up on a dozen of phones next year as well as on some other mobile devices like tablets PC.

My interest in Android does not come from the fact that it is better than the iPhone, or Crackberry because it is not, but because all applications in Android are written in Java and of them can be replaced with better working versions.
