Independence Day

Once again, the fireworks totally freaked out the dogs, especially Saba. She managed to somehow jump the fence and get entangled.

Our neighborhood, predominantly Hispanic, is very fond of the fireworks.

The sailing on Fellowship (Catalina 20) was called off again, which is too bad since the weather was OK, and I did not go sailing earlier in anticipation of sailing on the bigger boat.

Next time I will not depend on others and celebrate my independence day.

P.S. I do not have too many pictures from these pre-smart-phone days, here is a photo of Fellowship 2

My favorite quotations..

“A man should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”  by Robert A. Heinlein
